And they’re off! Four friends from Sheffield, the Lardy Lads, are today embarking on a cross country cycle to raise money for Motor Neurone Disease (MND) and Skin Cancer (SKCIN) charities.
Gerard, Amin, Amir and Bahman are shortly to arrive at Land’s End, ready to embrace a daily 80-100 miles cycling schedule for 12 consecutive days.
Weeks of training – cramming in 120 miles a week in Derbyshire and Yorkshire around their full time jobs – have been with one goal in mind, to boost awareness of these two illnesses that took the lives of two of their friends.
It’s a beautiful day to be starting a new Challenge. If you want to help them, nominate any online purchase you make to donate to this cause. It’s easy to set up and will inspire the foursome to pedal to victory!
