Cotswold Ekiden

An off-road relay (4 x 5km) based on the Japanese concept of Ekiden will see the beauty of the Cotswolds meet the Orient in a very special way. Runners will take on a relatively flat trail route that is suitable for all abilities. At the end of their lap they will pass the chip-timed Tasuki (sash) onto a team mate. Whilst waiting for your team to finish you can entertainment yourself with a taste of Japan and admire the amazing scenery of the Costswolds hills as they look down upon the course. Located at Sudeley castle in the picturesque Cotswold town of Winchcombe. Sudeley castle will be open for visitors and is the only private castle in the country that has a queen buried there! *Free parking (next to the event hub) *Toilets (next to the event hub) *Food and drink available (hot and cold) *Chip-timing *All finishers receive a T-shirt (and hopefully a medal) *Winners prizes *Safe and fun environment for families
