Gade Valley Harriers 20 Mile Marathon Training Run

Gade Valley Harriers have been running this successful training run series for the London Marathon for several years, giving an opportunity to train for the marathon in the company of other runners, with full marshalling and refreshments at the end. Runners in any speed category are welcomed. This is a training run. No timings or prizes will be given. The route starts with three miles on the tow path of the Grand Union Canal, followed a section on country lanes through Ashridge Forest and finishes with a one-mile canal section. The terrain is undulating (some big hills!). Roving marshal will be available to pick up anyone unable to complete the course. Facilities are limited please come ready to run.As car parking facilities are very limited near the club house, we would be grateful if runners could use the car park at Hemel Hempstead rail station (£2.50 charge) walk to the club house (which is about 5 minutes from the station). We do not take registrations by post/on-line before the event, so please try to arrive early as you’ll need to register on the day.
