Hard Way Series

This challenging Half Marathon, planned and organised by our Club Captain Mike ‘the Beastmaster’ Tizard, will test your mental and physical resolve as you pit yourself against some of the toughest terrain Portland has to offer….. springy grass, rocky footpaths, pebble beach, hard core paths and steep hills (there are some lovely sea views though!) This undulating course will take you around the whole of the island, from the top to the bottom and back up again by way of two particularly steep hills….will you beat the Goat Path? Along the way you take in views of the prison, High Angle Batteries, The Verne, Portland Marina, the Coastguard Rescue Helicopter station, Chesil Beach, Portland Bill and Church Ope Cove. Whatever your motivation, whether you are a first time or experienced runner, running for charity a PB or personal challenge, this race is a fantastic achievement and one you will always remember.
