Multi-Terrain Half Marathon Race based in Marlborough. The race runs through a private Estate owned by Count Konrad Goess-Saurau. This a rare opportunity for runners to run through this picturesque conservation area which has recently been featured on BBC One’s Big Wildlife Revival series. Over a period of almost 30 years the Count has planted 23 miles of new hedgerows, more than a million trees, and in the past five years has constructed nine new dew ponds to help support a healthy population of roe deer. There are also frequent sights of kites and many other birds of prey. Marlborough historic vibrant market town is also worth a visit. Much of its great natural beauty is environmentally protected and it offers the discerning visitor a unique blend of modern attractions and facilities. Site of a twice-weekly market, the High Street is one of the widest in the UK and lined on both sides with characterful old buildings housing an array of high quality shops. The town displays the confidence of wealth from times past, yet today remains vibrant and progressive with its own chic café culture. Amy Chalk an ex GB Endurance runner and director of the event thinks this event could possibly be one of the most scenic races on the multi-terrain calendar and is very excited about Cadence Events launch event. There will also be a 5 mile fun run on the same day on the same part of the course called the Tiny Temple.
