Maverick X Snowdonia Trail Run Marathon

We welcome you to a whole new series; the Maverick X Series events are designed to test your resolve and take you to the upper limits of your abilities. We venture to The Snowdonia National Park known as Eryri in Welsh, a name that can be translated as “the place of the eagles”. The park which covers 838 square miles is one of three national parks found in Wales, and the oldest – being designated in 1951. The area of the Snowdonia National Park has so much to offer the trail runner that if you are visiting for the first time you will wonder why it took you so long. The marathon route will summit Mt Snowdon and see you head down and cross over the mighty Glyder Faw, your second Peak at 1000m. We are pretty confident that this is the toughest marathon that Snowdonia has seen. The landscape is breathtaking and unique. There are nine mountain ranges here and they cover over half of the national park’s surface.
