PHOENIX – Remembrance Day Marathon – Thames Path

To commemorate ‘Remembrance Day’ and to honour those who gave their lives during World War 1 we’re holding a Remembrance Day Marathon. The event will be staged on the 11th November 2017 to mark the date, in 1918, on which the Great War came to an end. The route is a beautiful flat and fast, low key jaunt, along the River Thames from Walton on Thames to Hampton Court and back. 4 laps for the full marathon distance. The medal we’ve created is called the ‘Remembrance Stone’ and it’s arguably our finest ever. It will come with two interchangeable ribbons so you can decide which is more fitting; a black and white silhouetted Remembrance Day version, or a Poppy Day version. This is a picturesque out-and-back, lapped course with no elevation gain / loss making this a flat and fast route. This event is fully sanctioned by the 100 Marathon Club. Places will be strictly limited so don’t leave it too late to enter. Venue facilities: Toilets Changing Showers Parking
