Whether you are looking to fund a trip away, buy new equipment, sort out some new uniforms or help to cover your group’s running costs, GoRaise can help you find the funds to keep your community group going from strength to strength.

If you haven’t yet started using GoRaise to collect funds for your group then head to this page to set your group up as a cause and start raising funds every time you and your group members shop online.

Here are plenty of great ideas which you can use to add to the funds collected through GoRaise:

Community socials – the options are limitless, coffee mornings, group meals, games nights, quiz evenings. Simply set a ticket price, and put the proceeds towards your community goals.

External funding – funding is available to many organisations in the UK through lottery funding. The Big Lottery Fund is one such group who support hundreds of UK community and voluntary causes. Visit their website to find out more about eligibility: https://www.biglotteryfund.org.uk/funding

Bag packing at supermarkets – do you have an army of members at your disposal? If so, get in touch with a local supermarket and arrange to spend the day helping to pack groceries at the checkout in return for donations to your group.

Car boot sales – a great opportunity for the whole group to have a good clear out, a car boot sale can help raise funds. As a community group you likely have access to a hall, or meeting place from which you can host sale events.

Bake sales – it may not be an original idea, but it sure is popular. Organise a cake morning and bring along delicious treats to sell to friends, family and the local community..

Plant sales – do you have any green fingered gurus among your members? It is easy to nurture a few different species of flower, herb or vegetable plants to adulthood and then sell the plants in small pots at a community sale.
