Archery has been a popular skill for a long time, dating back as far as 25,000 years. If you want your club to last this long, then you’ll need to make sure the funding never runs out!
Here are few ideas for raising funds for your own archery club or team:
Archery competition – charge for tickets to a mini tournament with prizes drawn from the entry money. The rest of the funds collected go towards the club.
Club open day – run a fun day for friends and family of club members, where they can try out archery under guidance from your members. Merge this with the plant sale and bake sale ideas and have a huge club fundraiser.
Car boot sales – a great opportunity for the whole group to have a good clear out, a car boot sale can help raise funds. If you have grounds, then why not use them to host sales for the local community, with the club keeping the stall fees.
Selling team gear – create designs for hoodies, t-shirts and more featuring your club’s logo and designs. Sell to your team before you place the order to make sure there are no wasted purchases.
Expert lessons – a great way for the top archers at your club to help with fundraising. All they do is give up a few hours of their time, and you raffle or auction these lessons as a great way to raise funds.
Bake sales – it may not be an original idea, but it sure is popular. Organise a cake morning and bring along delicious treats to sell to friends and family.
Plant sales – do you have any green fingered gurus among your members? It is easy to nurture a few different species of flower, herb or vegetable plants to adulthood and then sell the plants in small pots at a community sale.
Charity walk – is there a local walk or hill climb which your group can take on for charity. Even a walking trip around the local pubs can be approached as a fundraising challenge.
