Whether you need to raise money to buy new equipment, sort out a new kit, or fund a trip to an event or tournament, GoRaise can help you find the funds to take your sports club to the next level.
If you haven’t started using GoRaise to collect funds for your sport then head to this page to set your club up as a cause, and start raising funds every time you and your club members shop online.
Here are plenty of great ideas which you can use to add to the funds received through GoRaise:
Club socials – Why not celebrate that big win, or mark the end of the season with a social for friends and family of the club. The options are limitless, bake sales, group meals, games nights, quiz evenings. Simply set a ticket price, and put the proceeds towards your club goals.
External funding –Funding is available to many sports clubs in the UK through charitable organisations. Sport England is one such group who support hundreds of UK sports clubs. Visit their website to find out more about eligibility. www.sportengland.org
Over £500m is available each year in donations from GoRaise partner retailers
Selling advertising space – Do you have room on scoreboards, pitch edges, club brochures and news magazines for businesses to make use of? If so, make use of that advertising space and turn it into funds for the club.
Sponsorship – Look for a business willing to sponsor your strip, minibus, or kit bags. A good place to start looking for a sponsor is among team members and parents, someone is probably involved with a local business looking for exposure.
Bag packing at supermarkets – Do you have an army of energetic team players at your disposal? If so, get in touch with a local supermarket and arrange to spend the day helping to pack groceries at the checkout in return for donations to your club.
Car boot sales – A great opportunity for the whole team to have a good clear out, a car boot sale can help raise funds. If you have club grounds, then why not use them in the off season to host sales for the local community, with the club keeping the stall fees.
Selling team gear – Create designs for hoodies, t-shirts and more featuring your club logo. Order them in bulk and sell them to team members, your club gets to keep any profit and get new sportswear into the bargain.
