Coastline of England Hand-Cycle challenge: Starting at Brighton on Sunday 2nd July 2017 and finishing on the Friday 28th July 2017 at Number 10 Downing Street London. In all, Rob will cover roughly 2,500 miles in 27 days, the cycling is mainly undulating over rolling countryside, though there are some longer, tougher climbs. Distances are fairly long, averaging approx 85 miles per day. He will cycle approximately 2,500 miles on this trip overall. This is not a ride which any hand-cyclist should attempt without specific training. Rob’s aim is to demonstrate what a disabled hand cyclist can do, to inspire young disabled children and to raise awareness through education in our schools of our dying oceans due to Plastic and climate change. Along the way he will be gathering 100,000 signatures from the public and schools in support of saving our oceans asking for more education in our schools about our polluted oceans and the effects of climate change. He will hand this petition into number 10 Downing Street on Friday 28th July 2017. Please click on the link and sign Saving our Oceans: https://www.change.org/p/saving-our-oceans

Sea Shepherd UK is an independent entity within the global Sea Shepherd movement as founded by Captain Paul Watson in 1977.
Sea Shepherd UK is a registered charity in England and Wales (Charities Commission registration number: 1110501) and has a board of Trustees drawn from England, Scotland and Wales and we are honoured to have Captain Paul Watson as our President.
Sea Shepherd UK (charity) is the sole shareholder of a charitable trading company called ‘Sea Shepherd UK Trading Ltd’ (administered by a board of unpaid Directors) from which all merchandising profits are donated to Sea Shepherd UK (charity) annually.
The objectives of Sea Shepherd UK are to conserve and protect the UK’s and the world’s marine ecosystems, habitats and species. Sea Shepherd UK may also engage in conservation activities to protect freshwater habitats/species and provide support and funding to international marine conservation campaigns (eg: Sea Shepherd Global in order to maintain marine conservation vessels) or to UK based campaigns or groups (eg: the ‘Anti-Disturbance Project’ in partnership with the Cornwall Marine & Coastal Code Group).
Sea Shepherd UK endeavours to accomplish our goals through public education, investigation, documentation and where appropriate (and where legal authority exists under international law or under agreement of national governments) to enforce conservation laws and prevent violations of the international treaties, laws and conventions meant to protect the oceans.
It is also the Sea Shepherd UK’s goal to outreach to the UK public via talks, presentations and events to educate people about the importance of marine conservation.

Is there any cost to the challenger or to the cause?
No, GoRaise is completely free to use for challengers and causes. The only cost is to the retailer
Why do the retailers make a donation?
When you visit a retailer or service through goraise.co.uk they offer a donation as a thank you for your custom. Our partner retailers like to help, but it's also a way of attracting customers, so they essentially put it down as a marketing cost.
Will we end up paying more for goods and services?
No, you are not charged anything extra. You buy directly from supplier websites accessed via GoRaise so you pay the same as anyone else. In fact – our users are able to take advantage of many exclusive offers and promotions so you will often find a better deal with suppliers through GoRaise. If you have a preferred supplier not currently listed on GoRaise.co.uk, please let us know and we will help them sign up.
Sounds too good to be true – is there a catch?
There’s no catch, and to confirm, it won't cost you a penny!! In fact, there’s £millions worth of retailer commission available every year to fund good causes across the UK. Amazingly, many causes are still unaware of this easy, free way to generate funds through everyday online shopping.
How much of the donation does GoRaise take?
We don’t take a penny of the amount displayed. For all retailers we show a donation rate (% or £), which represents the full amount you are raising for your cause. For clarity, GoRaise is a commercial organisation, and we receive an additional payment from the retailer above and beyond that shown on the site.
Which causes can we raise money for?
You can support any good cause, from small community groups, national charities or your own company foundations. Your favourite cause may already be registered. If it isn’t, it can be added very easily for free. GoRaise helps charities, sports clubs, company foundations, PTAs, community groups, churches, youth groups (Girl Guides, Scouts etc) and lots of other great causes.
